A birthday is always an exciting time for children. When a child understands the deeper significance of the day – that his soul shines with extra strength – he not only has a deeper appreciation for the celebration, he runs to include his friends in the excitement, as well.

Children have no doubt that their parents add in good things. Still, the greatest proof is when they see their parents celebrate their own birthdays with a Chassidic Farbrengen – a gathering where friends bless each other with all good things, and take on resolutions to grow in Torah and Mitzvos.
