Artist’s Statement: We are like trees in the field. I was at a class this week and the teacher explained, just like a tree is always growing no matter how old it is, human beings never stop growing. You are never too old to grow.

Artist’s Statement: When I found this beautiful tree along the banks of the Hudson River it made me think of the Hebrew word for tree, etz, which is composed of two letters, "ayin" and "tzaddik." "Tzaddik" means "the righteous one" and "ayin" means "eye."...
I drew this before Rosh Hashanah, inspired by a beautiful rimon (pomegranate) growing on a tree in Jerusalem, representing the vibrancy and excitement of re-connecting with G-d in anticipation of the High Holidays.
