Chana, the speaker, is so beautiful.
According to Torah, Bereshit I and Bereshit II are both true. Bereshit I says that Gd created the human (ha-adam) "male and female". We are taught that the male and female halves were both there all along. Bereshit II tells how the female SIDE was removed from this combo creature to let them face each other & enjoy each other.
"Ezer knegdo" does NOT mean "compatible" helper--it means a help "against him". It means that she helps him BY BEING AGAINST HIM. It takes two independent points of view to come to a balanced conclusion. Both women AND men are needed.
It is an error to say one gender is needed only to support the other. Each is needed FOR ITSELF. Both are needed, because thru both Gd's image can be revealed in humanity.
Chana's right that most women need to feel needed. Until society's limits vanish, we won't know whether those limits CAUSE women's need to feel needed. Bayom hahu, yihiyeh HaShem echad ooshmo echad.
But Chana is a beautiful intelligent woman.
MY MAN & I seem to have the reverse criticisms of each other than those you listed.
not only respect Adam also had to "know" his wife physically. The emotional parts are not enough without the physical bonding. Also, this was before they had children. Once the children were born, Chava, who is the mother of all living, is hardly mentioned. The love and connection and respect are not mentioned after the children are born. Why is that?
Great analysis Chana and insights but I would need direction in the how to's . For example, how to engender a man to treat a woman with respect if. He doesn't have a clue or how to have a man spend time with his wife if he is married to his business. Just something to mull over for another video. Chag Sameach!!
Thanks for your encouraging teachings....much Shalom! Love your teachings! :)
to anonymous What do you mean by calling your wife “a dog”? Do you mean she is below human and you treat her like she is not worthy of being called a woman? Or do you mean she is faithful and adores you and would sacrifice her life for you? Either way, it shows deep problems.
Chana's video on spouse's compliants
So relevant now and always. Thank G-d we have his words to guide us into all things.
Thanks
very nice My wife is , how can i put this delicately, a dog. Your tape is wonderful. It will help those whose marriages are sound., not the abused who are getting punched around. The woman who replied had two previous marriages would always have had two previous marriages. It's the The Law of Bershert. A few years ago i listened to your best advice ever: Don't complain; don't blame. It was missing a third leg, don't compare. These three dictums if followed make a mensche. You do have a wonderful way with words and how to express them, even if they have limited effect. You have a half dozen replies. Go to the sites on abuse, there are hundreds of replies.

I am always interested in your videos which are for a few minutes. So much is in them, and it is so inviting to click on for a few minutes, instead of closer to an hour! Thank you, and keep it up!
A Wife´s Greatest Complaints Thank you, Chana. This is the first time I am watching your video, it was most helpful, helping me in understanding the different needs, expectations...what went wrong in my marriage. Thank you!
old newlyweds Chana, this is the first time I'm "watching" you since I got married (not the first time for me or my husband...) and I see so clearly in this short and sweet video what was sorely lacking in my previous marriages, and what I have been blessed with this time. (as my oldest son said, "Mommy, the third time's a charm!") A marriage, as you describe it, is truly a miracle, as men and women are so different, and the world is such a big place within which to find your true soul mate--may we all be blessed with peaceful, loving, and fulfilling marriages -- and that we are conscious of that every single day -- and take the time to not only thank our spouse, but to thank G-d for blessing us in such a miraculous way!
Now I understand better what went wrong in my marriage. Many thanks to you Chana.
LOL! My husband came in the bedroom & said," Hello Ezer Kinegdo, let me help you finish making the bed." I stared at him for a second until I remembered I had added this video to my toolbar & realized he had finally watched it! We both started laughing & he came round & gave me a big kiss & a hug! Thank you again Chana!
No Need to Complain,
You are such a beautiful soul Chana.
I have been reading, listening & watching for almost 2 years now & when I need a woman's advice I know I can always come here & find answers or a solution & my family is much happier in the end. Thank you.
