The answer to comment 1 is correct.
It is true the Americans only got invovled because of their own benefit. My father was in WWII and he took the time to educate all his children in our History. As a Cuban Jew I have been educated in the History of Cuba, Vietnam and WWII.
America was well aware of what was going with the Jews in concentration camps for a long time before they decided to do anything. How can you explain so many concentration camps scattered throughout and think that America had no knowledge?

answer to comment #1 The USA and allies only interfered after they were attacked and helped only for their interest. The fact is they could have stoped the war at the begining and were pleaded to but did not until 1942. Their actions were to revenge the nazis not to help the jews! Reply
About something expressed in this lecture...
I am not arguing it. I am too young to have been around to have seen or heard for myself.
Rabbi Friedman said that all the nations of the world sided against, worked against, the Jewish people during World War 2. I was surprised because, if it was mentioned at all, we were told or taught that America and the Allies came to the rescue of the Jews and liberated them during the war. I think we all know, now, about American propaganda, from witnessing it during the last eight years, so, as I began, I am not arguing the fact. But, Rabbi, I think we need to know how the USA worked with the enemy against the Jews in WWII. What were American Jews doing while this happened? Did things change, along the course of the war? Maybe you could give a short lecture about it - a history lesson. Thanks.
Also, a very nice job, as always, Rabbi.

Don’t make other people’s approval the underlying motif of all your actions. Instead, have the courage to be who you really are and see what happens. You’ll be surprised at the number of people who love you simply because you’re authentic. At the same time, those who have a problem with who you are not even worth bothering.
